Training of Trainers (ToT) Workshop

On 22 May 2026, the Tun Fatimah Hashim Women’s Leadership Centre organized a Training of Trainers (ToT) Workshop for a research project funded under the Women’s Leadership Endowment Fund entitled “Empowering B40 Women鈥檚 Leadership within the Family through Community-Based Psychosocial Support.” The workshop brought together trainers and facilitators to discuss and strengthen module content aimed at enhancing psychosocial support approaches for homemakers.

One of the key components of the workshop was the introduction of strategies for recognizing and managing emotions in healthier ways, ensuring that homemakers are not only able to remain resilient for their families but are also empowered to safeguard their own well-being. We believe that a better understanding of emotions can foster more harmonious family environments and contribute to stronger, healthier communities.

As part of the effort to promote women鈥檚 emotional well-being, the Training of Trainers Workshop also provided an opportunity for collaboration with our sponsoring partner, Puan Nurul Shafikah Mohd Razali (Fika Razali), founder of MyMuka. Inspired by her personal experiences, the products she developed emphasize self-care not merely as a beauty routine, but as a meaningful practice for emotional restoration and self-appreciation. During the session, trainers were introduced to a self-care approach that combines facial skincare routines with relaxation elements through specific sound frequencies, using sheet masks and headphones.

Interestingly, the innovation was inspired by the concept of water molecule crystal formation, where harmonious sound frequencies are believed to positively influence water structures, helping to create a more calming and holistic self-care experience. It is not solely about outward beauty, but also about providing women with the opportunity to pause, regulate their emotions, and reconnect with their sense of self-worth.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Puan Fika for her support and collaboration in making this workshop a success. We hope that more initiatives like this will continue to raise awareness that self-care is an essential component of women鈥檚 overall well-being.
