Latest Article on Vitamin E and Cancer From UMBI

We are pleased to announce another research publication from our institute. The article is from the Anti-Oxidant Research Program spearheaded by Professor Dato’ Dr. Wan Zurinah Wan Ngah. The group studied the effects of plant bioactives namely the tocotrienol-rich fraction, [6]-gingerol and epigallocatechin gallate on glioma cell lines. All 3 compounds inhibit cell proliferation and induce apoptosis in 3 different glioma cell lines representing Grade II (1321N1), Grade III (SW1783) and Grade IV (LN18) gliomas. The paper is published in Molecules which is a Q1/Q2 journal with an impact factor of 2.095.
