A Review Paper on Type 2 Diabetes in Asia by Our Young Research Fellow
UMBI’s young research fellow, Mrs Noraidatulakma Abdullah, who is currently undergoing her PhD programme at the University of Newcastle in Australia has recently published a review paper on Type 2 diabetes (T2D). The paper focuses on T2D in Asia and examines the genetic architecture of T2D using the published data on large scale genetic studies which have been published. The paper also provides an overview of the known genetic and non-genetic risk factors for T2D. The paper is published in the International Journal of Endocrinology, 2014.
