New Research Fellows in UMBI
In an effort to enhance UMBI’s collaboration with key partners in research and to consolidate its capacity in terms of research fellows, UMBI has appointed two research fellows under the dual appointment scheme with the ¼¯ÃÀÂ鶹 Medical Centre.
The two research fellows are Professor Dr. Shamsul Azhar Shah (from the Department of Community Medicine) and Associate Professor Dr. Raja Affendi Raja Ali (from the Department of Medicine).
Professor Dr. Shamsul is a clinical epidemiologist and is a rising star in terms of research and publications focusing on non-communicable diseases. Associate Professor Dr. Raja Affendi is very experienced gastroenterologist who believes strongly in bringing laboratory research to the bedside. Both research fellows will certainly spearhead joint research projects between UMBI and ¼¯ÃÀÂ鶹MC.
