New Appointments in UMBI
The Vice Chancellor of ¼¯ÃÀÂ鶹 has appointed Professor Madya Dr. Norfilza Mokhtar as the new Deputy Director (Research and Innovation) of UMBI to replace Professor Madya Dr. Roslan Harun, for a 3-year term effective 1st August 2014. The management of UMBI would like to thank Professor Madya Dr. Roslan Harun for his massive contribution to UMBI and especially in holding the post of deputy director for two terms and the head of quality for one term.
Professor Madya Dr. Norfilza is a member of the Department of Physiology and is under a dual appointment status with UMBI. She has been the head of quality for the past 3 years, and this new appointment will certainly provide her with greater challenges ahead.
The Vice Chancellor has also appointed Professor Madya Dr. Raja Affendi Raja Ali as UMBI’s new head of quality. Professor Madya Dr. Raja Affendi is a member of the Department of Medicine and is also under the dual appointment status at UMBI. He is very passionate about translational research especially in gastroenterology and UMBI is fortunate to have him lead the quality programme.
