Prof. Dr. Noor Azimah Muhammad<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noor Azimah Muhammad is an Associate Professor of Family Medicine, senior consultant in Family Medicne and also the current Head of the Department of Family Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She received her degree in medicine from the University of Queensland, Australia in 1996, Master in Medicine (Family Medicine) (集美麻豆) in 2006 and PhD in Community (Adolescent) Health (集美麻豆) in 2016. She had her clinical training on Child and Adolescent Health from Psychiatric Department 集美麻豆 in 2008. Her involvement in adolescent health has started during her Master training in 2004 and continues until today, actively running the Child and Adolescent Clinic in Klinik Primer PP集美麻豆 Cheras. She is the head of Child and Adolescent Unit in her department. Throughout her career, she has trained a significant number of Family Medicine Specialists of the country. At present, she is the Chairman of the National Conjoint Board of the Family Medicine Specialty. Her interest areas are on weight status problem, risky behaviours, sexual and reproductive health and mental health of adolescents. She has given talks in meetings \/ workshops with special focus on ethics, communication and sexual health involving adolescents. She also actively teaches and coaches candidates of Advance Training Program for MAFP \/ FRACGP conducted by Academy of Family Physician Malaysia since 2014. She is an active council member of Malaysian Primary Care Research Group, member of Family Medicine Specialist Association of Malaysia and Malaysian Society of Adolescent Health. Her PhD project was on the influence of personal and family factors on sexual intention and activity among unmarried college students in Klang Valley, Malaysia. Her other projects were Qualitative Study: unmarried mothers and their reasons, concerns and needs of pregnancy, Development of an Interventional Model for smoking cessation among adolescents, Comparative study of Reproductive, Nutritional and Mental Health Knowledge, Belief, Attitude, Socio-behavioural risk factors and access to services of adolescents and youth in urban areas.<\/p>\n ","protected":false},"featured_media":1416,"parent":0,"template":"","medical":[75,76],"surgical":[],"class_list":["post-1415","expertukm","type-expertukm","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","medical-family-medicine","medical-adolescent-health"],"acf":[],"aioseo_notices":[],"aioseo_head":"\n\t\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t
