Kajian yang dijalankan melibatkan pelbagai kumpulan fauna seperti mamalia, burung, reptilia, amfibia, serangga serta hidupan akuatik bagi menilai status biodiversiti dan kesihatan ekosistem tasik. Antara fokus utama penyelidikan termasuk inventori spesies, pola taburan habitat, interaksi ekologi, kesan perubahan persekitaran terhadap fauna serta pemantauan spesies yang mempunyai nilai konservasi tinggi. Ekosistem hutan riparian, kawasan paya, sungai dan tasik di sekitar Tasik Chini menyediakan habitat penting kepada pelbagai spesies fauna tempatan dan migratori, sekali gus menjadikan kawasan ini sebagai lokasi penting untuk penyelidikan biodiversiti tropika.<\/p><p data-start=\"910\" data-end=\"1527\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Selain itu, penyelidikan fauna di <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Pusat Penyelidikan Tasik Chini ¼¯ÃÀÂé¶¹<\/span><\/span> turut menyokong usaha pemuliharaan dan pengurusan lestari melalui kerjasama antara penyelidik, agensi kerajaan dan komuniti setempat, termasuk masyarakat Orang Asli. Data penyelidikan digunakan bagi membantu pembangunan pelan pengurusan habitat, program pendidikan alam sekitar, kesedaran awam serta pemantauan impak aktiviti manusia terhadap ekosistem Tasik Chini. Pendekatan bersepadu ini penting dalam memastikan kelestarian biodiversiti fauna dan keseimbangan ekologi kawasan <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Tasik Chini Biosphere Reserve<\/span><\/span> untuk generasi akan datang.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-30470a4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"30470a4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3 data-section-id=\"544tpe\" data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"13\">Mamalia<\/h3><p data-start=\"14\" data-end=\"592\">Kajian fauna di <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Tasik Chini<\/span><\/span> merekodkan sebanyak 48 spesies mamalia daripada 20 famili yang mendiami kawasan hutan, riparian dan persekitaran tasik. Kumpulan mamalia ini merangkumi spesies kecil seperti tupai dan keluang hingga mamalia bersaiz besar yang memainkan peranan penting dalam rantaian makanan dan penyebaran benih hutan. Kehadiran mamalia menunjukkan bahawa ekosistem Tasik Chini masih berfungsi sebagai habitat semula jadi yang penting serta mempunyai nilai konservasi yang tinggi bagi mengekalkan keseimbangan biodiversiti kawasan tersebut.<\/p><h3 data-section-id=\"1nzi3cf\" data-start=\"594\" data-end=\"607\">Amfibia<\/h3><p data-start=\"608\" data-end=\"1153\">Sebanyak 28 spesies amfibia daripada 5 famili telah direkodkan di kawasan Tasik Chini, terdiri terutamanya daripada pelbagai spesies katak dan kodok yang bergantung kepada habitat lembap serta sumber air bersih untuk pembiakan. Amfibia sangat sensitif terhadap perubahan persekitaran dan kualiti air, menjadikannya indikator biologi yang penting dalam menilai tahap kesihatan ekosistem. Kepelbagaian spesies amfibia di Tasik Chini menunjukkan kawasan ini masih mempunyai habitat akuatik dan hutan yang sesuai untuk kelangsungan hidupan tersebut.<\/p><h3 data-section-id=\"le1gzc\" data-start=\"1155\" data-end=\"1169\">Reptilia<\/h3><p data-start=\"1170\" data-end=\"1690\">Penyelidikan di kawasan <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Tasik Chini Biosphere Reserve<\/span><\/span> turut merekodkan 14 spesies reptilia daripada 9 famili yang terdiri daripada ular, biawak, kura-kura dan spesies reptilia lain yang hidup di kawasan daratan serta perairan tasik. Reptilia memainkan peranan penting sebagai pemangsa semula jadi dalam mengawal populasi haiwan kecil dan serangga di habitatnya. Kehadiran pelbagai spesies reptilia mencerminkan kepelbagaian habitat semula jadi yang masih mampu menyokong keseimbangan ekologi kawasan Tasik Chini.<\/p><h3 data-section-id=\"19wtjun\" data-start=\"1692\" data-end=\"1704\">Burung<\/h3><p data-start=\"1705\" data-end=\"2221\">Tasik Chini mempunyai kepelbagaian avifauna yang tinggi dengan rekod sebanyak 152 spesies burung daripada 46 famili, termasuk burung hutan, burung air dan spesies migratori. Kawasan tasik, hutan riparian dan paya menyediakan sumber makanan serta lokasi perlindungan yang sesuai kepada pelbagai jenis burung. Kepelbagaian spesies burung ini menjadikan Tasik Chini sebagai kawasan penting untuk penyelidikan ornithologi, pemantauan biodiversiti serta aktiviti pendidikan dan ekopelancongan berasaskan alam semula jadi.<\/p><h3 data-section-id=\"nesr6z\" data-start=\"2223\" data-end=\"2233\">Ikan<\/h3><p data-start=\"2234\" data-end=\"2801\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Ekosistem akuatik Tasik Chini merekodkan sebanyak 84 spesies ikan daripada 22 famili yang mendiami kawasan tasik, sungai dan paya sekitarnya. Kepelbagaian spesies ikan ini menunjukkan kepentingan Tasik Chini sebagai habitat air tawar yang kaya dengan sumber biodiversiti dan mempunyai nilai ekonomi serta ekologi kepada komuniti setempat.
