UN Malaysia Award 2017, 24 October 2017

On 24th October 2017, KITA Principal Fellow Datuk Dr. Denison Jayasooria became one of three recipients for UN Malaysia Award 2017. The UN award recognises the outstanding contributions of individuals and organisations that are in line with the three underlying principles of Agenda 3030: leaving no one behind, sustainability and participation.

Datuk Dr. Denison Jayasooria was honoured for his contribution to the mobilisation of different stakeholders, particularly representatives of vulnerable groups, towards ensuring inclusion and participation.

The event which took place at JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur was officiated by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Dahlan, and attended by United Nations Resident Coordinator in Malaysia Stefan Priesner.
