Preserving Religious Harmony through Moderation: Religious Perspectives Dialogue, 27 March 2018

KITA Principal Fellow Prof. Dr. Ong Puay Liu was invited as Panelist in a dialogue session “Preserving Religious Harmony through Moderation: Religious Perspective”. The session was part of International Symposium on Moderation in Multi-Religious Societies: Towards Peace & Harmony that was held on 27 March 2018 (Tuesday) at IKIM Grand Hall, Kuala Lumpur and officiated by YAB Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia. The event was organized by Institute of Islamic Understanding Malaysia (Institut Kefahaman Islam Malaysia, IKIM) in collaboration with Global Movement of Moderates Foundation (GMMF).

The dialogue session involved three other panelists: Enizahura Abdul Aziz (Centre for Study of Shari’ah, Law & Politics, IKIM), Jason Leong (Christians for Peace and Harmony Malaysia), and Balachandran Annamalai (Malaysia Hindu Sangam). The dialogue was moderated by Dr. Mohd Farid Mohd Shahran, Director of Centre for Study of Shari’ah, Law and Politics, IKIM.
