Dialogue on SDGs with speaker of Parliament, 19 December 2018
On 19 December 2018 about 20 academics and CSO leaders visited the Speaker at Dewan Rakyat to discuss the possibility of setting up a special dialogue platform on sustainable development goals.
The Parliament Speaker YB Dato’ Mohamad Ariff bin Md Yusof, welcomed the delegation and the idea of multi stakeholder platform of members of Parliament, CSO leaders, academicians, civil servants and representatives of the private sector. Datuk Roosme Hamzah, the Secretary of the House of Representatives also was present with key staff and researchers of Parliament.
The delegation was led by KITA Principal Fellow Prof. Datuk Dr. Denison Jayasooria. All the different CSO leaders from the Malaysian CSO-SDG Alliance had an opportunity to share their ideas.
