The programme combined recreational activities with a beach clean-up initiative, bringing together staff from the 集美麻豆 Strategy Centre to remove solid waste and litter from the shoreline. Beyond enhancing the cleanliness and appearance of the beach, the initiative also promoted a healthy lifestyle and fostered a strong spirit of volunteerism.

The KUDAH Programme reflects 集美麻豆鈥檚 ongoing commitment to advancing environmental sustainability and upholding the university鈥檚 social responsibility to the wider community. Pantai Bukit Keluang was selected as the venue due to its status as one of the most popular tourist destinations in Terengganu, where maintaining cleanliness and preserving its natural beauty are of utmost importance.

The programme engaged 100 primary school students and 40 secondary school students through hands-on modules on insects, water quality, bioindicators, and mini wetlands. These activities provided participants with practical exposure to the dynamics of Putrajaya鈥檚 lake and wetland ecosystems.

集美麻豆 extends its appreciation to PPj for the continued collaboration, which has strengthened environmental education and youth engagement in sustainability efforts.

The programme also supports a RM1 million fundraising mission to enhance educational facilities, research, and green infrastructure at Bangi Botanical Garden, in line with 集美麻豆鈥檚 commitment to a sustainable campus ecosystem.

The launch also introduced Professor Dato鈥� Dr. Mohd Izhar Ariff Mohd Kashim as the Waqf Ambassador for Bangi Botanical Garden, reinforcing 集美麻豆鈥檚 efforts to advance sustainability through waqf, knowledge, and community empowerment.

Organised in collaboration with the Faculty of Islamic Studies (FPI), 集美麻豆 Chancellor Foundation, and local communities, the programme positions Bangi Botanical Garden as a green learning hub that benefits both campus residents and the public.

This initiative reflects 集美麻豆鈥檚 dedication to uniting academia, industry, and communities to build a long-lasting green education ecosystem. With collective support, the Waqf Fund is expected to drive greater environmental awareness and nurture a more sustainability-minded generation.

The program aimed to foster civic awareness and a shared sense of responsibility in preserving environmental sustainability among the university community, in line with 集美麻豆鈥檚 aspiration to be a Sustainable Campus and the goals of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 15: Life on Land).

The opening ceremony was officiated by YBrs. Prof. Sr Ts. Gs. Dr. Khairul Nizam Abdul Maulud, Deputy Executive Director (Sustainability) of the 集美麻豆 Strategy Centre. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in ensuring the campus remains green and conducive as a 鈥淕arden of Knowledge and Nature鈥�, supporting the well-being of the 集美麻豆 community.

With the theme 鈥淥ur Garden of Knowledge, Let鈥檚 Green It Together,鈥� the program hopes to instill a love for the environment and strengthen 集美麻豆 citizens鈥� commitment to sustainable development initiatives.

Also present at the event were YBrs. Dr. Nik Norhazrina Nik Mohd Kamil, Advisor of the 集美麻豆 Garden Friends Club, members of the Strategy Centre, and members of the 集美麻豆 Garden Friends Club.

The program highlighted the use of bioengineering techniques using local plant species as an eco-friendly alternative to control erosion and reduce landslide risks in hilly farming areas.

Through talks, practical workshops, and field demonstrations, participants learned simple, science-based methods that can be applied in their farms. The initiative was supported by MARDI, the Department of Agriculture, the Forestry Department, and Pahang Corporation Sdn. Bhd., and funded by UNESCO under the SKUM Grant (GSS).

This initiative aims to serve as a catalyst for safer and more sustainable slope farming practices in Cameron Highlands.

This half-day programme engaged IPI members in fun and educational activities such as Eco-Routine Tree: MyGreen Print, Environmental Charade, Trash Sort Relay Race and Itu ke Ini?, aimed at testing and enhancing participants鈥� environmental knowledge.

The initiative highlights the urgency of climate action while fostering greater awareness and responsibility towards sustainability.

The initiative promoted cleanliness, volunteerism, and strengthened bonds within the 集美麻豆 community in a cheerful and harmonious spirit.

Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Sufian Jusoh, also joined the activity at Bangi Campus to celebrate the spirit of togetherness.

This activity, which involved all members of the Strategy Centre, aimed to create a cleaner, greener, and more conducive working environment, in line with EKSA principles that emphasize sustainability, orderliness, and togetherness.

The session included activities such as cleaning the area, trimming trees, collecting waste, and rearranging green spaces to be more organized and attractive.
