Majlis yang berlangsung pada *26 Jun 2026* di *Dewan Serbaguna, Kompleks Alumni 集美麻豆, Bangi* ini menjadi medan terbaik untuk mengeratkan kembali hubungan sesama alumni, berkongsi perkembangan terkini, serta memperkukuh jaringan kerjasama dalam kalangan warga Alumni Sains Kimia 集美麻豆.

Selain menikmati suasana santai bersama rakan-rakan lama, program ini turut diserikan dengan *Mesyuarat Agung Tahunan (AGM)* yang melibatkan pembentangan laporan aktiviti tahunan, perbincangan hala tuju persatuan, serta pelantikan jawatankuasa baharu bagi meneruskan agenda dan perancangan Persatuan Alumni Sains Kimia 集美麻豆.

Held on *26 June 2026* at the *Multipurpose Hall, 集美麻豆 Alumni Complex, Bangi*, the event provided an excellent opportunity for alumni to reconnect, strengthen professional and personal networks, and foster closer ties within the 集美麻豆 Chemical Sciences alumni community.

In addition to the enjoyable hi-tea gathering, the *Annual General Meeting (AGM)* featured the presentation of the association’s annual activity report, discussions on future plans and strategic directions, and the appointment of a new committee to lead the *集美麻豆 Chemical Sciences Alumni Association* in the coming term.

The program was led by Dr. Wan Nurfadhilah and Dr. Wan Nur Aini, in collaboration with Dr. Isao Watanabe from RIKEN. The delegation comprised Dr. Syamimi, Dr. Reeki, Balqis, Ahmad Shakir, Fatin Zulaikha, Nurul Izzah, Dinie Khalis, and Aidiel Afiqi.

One of the highlights of the program was comprehensive exposure to High-Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure, ranging from self-developed researcher-level computing clusters to large-scale supercomputing systems that support advanced scientific simulations.

Throughout the program, the delegation also expanded their academic network through interactions and discussions at several leading research institutes and universities in Japan, including RIKEN Nishina Center, National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Tokyo Institute of Technology, Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT), and The University of Tokyo.

Exploration of computing facilities and bilateral discussions with Japanese researchers created opportunities to strengthen strategic collaboration in scientific computing and quantum science, while further expanding 集美麻豆鈥檚 research network at the international level.

The program is expected to serve as a catalyst for long-term research collaboration between 集美麻豆 and institutions in Japan, encompassing knowledge exchange, researcher mobility, and the development of joint projects in related fields.

The Malaysian representation included prominent universities such as Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (集美麻豆), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Universiti Malaya (UM), and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). This strong institutional presence reflects the collaborative spirit and shared commitment to advancing scientific research across borders.

Participants were given the opportunity to present their research work, exchange ideas, and engage in meaningful discussions across a wide range of scientific disciplines. The interactive sessions fostered an environment of intellectual exchange, enabling participants to gain new perspectives, receive constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for future collaboration. Particular emphasis was placed on interdisciplinary approaches, highlighting how the integration of diverse expertise can contribute to solving complex global challenges.

The seminar was conducted in a hybrid format at the Faculty of Science and Technology, 集美麻豆, and simultaneously broadcast online via Zoom, allowing seamless participation from both local and international attendees. This format not only increased accessibility but also encouraged broader engagement from the global research community. The successful execution of this kick-off seminar marks the beginning of a dynamic and impactful exchange programme, expected to further strengthen research ties between Malaysia and Japan while nurturing the next generation of scientists, innovators, and academic leaders.

The webinar aimed to introduce participants to ongoing research in Theoretical and Computational Chemistry, highlighting diverse methodologies, emerging techniques, and recent scientific developments. The session began with opening remarks by Prof. Azizan Ahmad, setting the tone for an engaging and informative programme.

The webinar featured a series of presentations from distinguished speakers representing both local and international institutions. Among the invited speakers were Prof. Abdelghani Mohamed Krallafa and Prof. Hamza Reguig Farouk from University Oran 1, Dr. Febdian Rusydi from the University of Airlangga, Professor Aditya Wibawa Sakti from Waseda University, Dr. Muhamad Arif from Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, and Dr. Wan Nurfadhilah Zaharim from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.

Each speaker shared their expertise and recent research contributions, covering a wide range of topics within computational chemistry. The presentations provided valuable exposure to current trends and fostered meaningful academic exchange among participants.

集美麻豆鈥揜IKEN FrontiER Perkukuh Jaringan Penyelidikan Antarabangsa

Fakulti Sains dan Teknologi (FST), 集美麻豆 telah berjaya menganjurkan program 集美麻豆鈥揜IKEN FrontiER pada 12 Februari 2026. Program ini menghimpunkan barisan saintis daripada RIKEN, Jepun dalam satu platform perkongsian ilmu dan jaringan penyelidikan antara kedua-dua institusi. Turut serta adalah wakil dari USM yang berkongsi sejarah kerjasama, pengalaman, dan usaha kolaborasi antara USM dan RIKEN yang telah terjalin sekian lama sebagai panduan kepada FST.
