Students are required to demonstrate knowledge and skills, and provide data that directly measure achievement of expected outcomes through mid-semester and final exams, quizzes, assignments, laboratory and projects.<\/li>\n<li>At the end of the program, students will be required to demonstrate these skills in the final year project. The project usually comprises of research methodology and experiment, which demands both intellectual and generic skills to be demonstrated and assessed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Career Prospects :<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In comparison to other engineering disciplines, mechanical engineering is perhaps one of the broadest disciplines, offering a wide opportunity of employment. Graduates are trained to solve problems, adapt to the environment with multi-engineering disciplines, work professionally in a team and are prepared to learn and grow professionally in his or her career. Mechanical engineers may contribute in areas of engineering design, development of products, manufacturing, oil &amp; gas, plant operation, consultancy, research &amp; development, construction, robotics, automotive, biomechanics, aerospace, power generation, renewable energy, management and government statutory bodies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Graduates are also prepared to pursue advance engineering degrees, which may be important for careers in research &amp; development and universities.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Further Study Options :<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Masters programmes either by course (full-time only) or research (either part-time or full-time) are available.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Doctorate research programmes in Mechanical Engineering (either part-time or full-time) are also offered.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Assessments : In every course, students are assessed by theoretical knowledge and project-based activities which are related to improving intellectual and generic skills.
